教学目的和要求：
本课程是通过邀请国际制图学协会的著名专家用英语讲座、案例分析和上机实习等形式，介绍地图学与地理信息科学与技术的基础理论、GIS软件技术发展前沿及其发展趋势。课后学生应基本了解地图学和GIS的基本知识，了解常用GIS软件和发展趋势。通过上机实习应掌握项目级的GIS系统建设基本知识和技术。
Internationally recognized experts will be invited via International Cartographic Association as instructor for introducing state of art knowledge and cutting edge technology on cartography and geographic information science and systems. After compete this course student should be able to design project level of GIS system and implement it based on his own spatial data and free spatial data sources in the internet.
